About Whitefield as an office address
Whitefield is Bangalore's older east-side IT corridor, anchored by the International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB), which opened in 1994, and by township-style campuses. Occupiers are mainly IT and IT-enabled firms and multinationals.
Whitefield sits in Bangalore's PBD East market, which took 29.3% of the city's office leasing in the first half of 2026.

Brigade Tech Park
About 440,000 sq ft on 4 acres, 1 basement plus ground plus 9 floors, with floor plates of 14,000 to 50,000 sq ft and 100% power backup. Brigade puts the metro station about 0.5 km away.
Brigade IRV Centre
About 260,000 sq ft, 1 basement plus ground plus 10 floors, with office units of 3,000 to 12,000 sq ft, 100% power backup and one parking space per 550 sq ft.

Metro
The Purple Line extension from Krishnarajapura to Whitefield (Kadugodi) opened on 26 March 2023. Pattandur Agrahara serves ITPL and ITPB, and Hoodi serves Shantiniketan. The ITPB Metro Skywalk opened in January 2026.
Roads
Whitefield Road, Varthur Road and Whitefield Main Road. Brigade lists Marathahalli on the Outer Ring Road about 6 km from Brigade Tech Park.

What shapes a fit-out in Whitefield
Campus landlords set the rules
ITPB, Shantiniketan and the Brigade parks are run as campuses with their own fit-out guidelines. We ask for them, and for the handover condition of the floor, before we fix the design.
Fire clearance and building height
Karnataka treats buildings of 21 m and above as high-rise, with applications to the fire head office, and lower buildings handled regionally. An older 2011 notification used 15 m, so we confirm with the local fire station for buildings between 15 m and 21 m.
Delivery windows
Bangalore announced limits on heavy goods vehicles in August 2024: weekdays and Sundays 7:00 to 11:00 and 16:00 to 22:00, and Saturdays 10:00 to 14:30 and 16:30 to 21:00. We check the rule in force and plan deliveries around it.
